Good Fences in Ky.

In 2011, we announced the retirement of Google Friend Connect for all non-Blogger sites. We made an exception for Blogger to give readers an easy way to follow blogs using a variety of accounts. Yet over time, we’ve seen that most people sign into Friend Connect with a Google Account. So, in an effort to streamline, in the next few weeks we’ll be making some changes that will eventually require readers to have a Google Account to sign into Friend Connect and follow blogs.


As part of this plan, starting the week of January 11, we’ll remove the ability for people with Twitter, Yahoo, Orkut or other OpenId providers to sign in to Google Friend Connect and follow blogs. At the same time, we’ll remove non-Google Account profiles so you may see a decrease in your blog follower count.


We encourage you to tell affected readers (perhaps via a blog post), that if they use a non-Google Account to follow your blog, they need to sign up for a Google Account, and re-follow your blog. With a Google Account, they’ll get blogs added to their Reading List, making it easier for them to see the latest posts and activity of the blogs they follow.

Critiquing my work and finding the JOY

Finally my current painting project is completed and in a frame.

Acrylics on 8x10 canvas board.

I am my harshest critic.

Why are we never satisfied with things we do?

I promised myself several years ago when I began to take painting lessons I would not try to compare mine exactly to the one my teacher or the other students painted.

But, for some reason, we all do the same.
"I love yours, mine is just not right."

HH thinks it is very good.

My teacher says "good job."

I know some things for sure, my eyesight is not the same as when I first began to paint.

My hand is not as steady.

Excuses?

No these are facts.

But every Thursday I do this linky with Meri who allows us to share the JOY with her and Meri is a life coach.

She knows her stuff.

Now I found Intentional Me which is a link that encourages one to ponder things.

My philosophy and Meri's is to find JOY all around us. 

At least that is what I say.

But I realize that one needs to stop, sometimes, and
ponder that statement.

Look for the JOY.

In pondering this I take much JOY in being able to afford painting classes, in being able to drive myself  to classes and the JOY of sharing with all my blogging buddies and those who love me.

Now I can ponder in cyberspace and pondering reminds us of our blessings.

Have not sealed it yet. By taking a photo and posting it I can tell what I need to do to make it look better. I need to make my stems and leaves a little greener.

Sassy looking pixie isn't she?

 This is my painting teacher.

Now I call her my art teacher.
She calls herself my painting teacher.
To me she is a mystical, magical person.

Go to her Paint Page and tell me she is not an art teacher.
Look at the great work her students have done.
 
She has lead me to read and watch movies all about the most famous artists.
The history of art and on and on.

She has guided my creativity for several years now.
She is my art teacher.
I don't care what she says.

It is due to her that I can zentangle on my Picasso app on my Kendle.
 

We love the same books, we both have Kindle Fires.
We love the same types of movies and do we ever laugh together. 
We have shared some hard times too.
  
Ima has a gentle heart and cares for all God's creatures. 
Just look at some of her photos of amazing critters on her blog. 

What she doesn't know about weeds ain't worth knowing and her photography is amazing.

 Deer can be seen all around her property.

Do you think I would have ever noticed this. 

I didn't know they were full of ink,
but because she is an artist, here is what
she did with it.  

 Well Miz Pixie just found herself a feather and
made the drawing below.

Now you tell me, is she not an artist?

I want to be just like her when I grow up.

We all have read and been told about trying to find joy in everyday things.

There are three simple things in this  photo that bring me joy.
A painting done in last year's painting class, simple daffodils and the cobalt blue bottles I like to collect.
Painting brings me such joy and it reminds me to be thankful for the ability to do this and for the amazing woman that is my 'painting' teacher.
She doesn't call herself an art teacher.
She is so humble and full of joy.

To me she not only teaches painting she lives her life with joy.

Feeling .....snug and cozy in my home with my HH while a storm in brewing in the skies outside.


Thanking about.......we have rain, rain, rain here in our part of the country, more than enough and in Texas where our sun lives, there is one of the worst droughts they have ever had.

We must have empathy for all our fellow humans who are suffering under some burden.
Our prayers go up each day for folks all over the world to hang on to their faith and keep the hope.

This is a sad situation. The joy is in knowing that God is in control.
