Soulful Friday-Snowbound and loving it.

Soulful Friday.

What about this past week?
What inspired you?

This week
well
snow, snow, snow.

Almost 0 visibility even with some help from PicMonkey.

This is my view outside my bedroom window where I am warm and comfortable in my cozy chair and watching movies on my Kindle and being so grateful I do not
have to go outside in this.
Hubby has a 4wheel truck so he just goes right on.

We have been preparing for a BIG snow for a long time and it is finally here.

It is beautiful.
Not much moving outside as far as vehicles on the road.

We have had squirrels on our bird feeder before, at least just one at a time.
Today we had 3.
They must be having a hard time finding something to eat.
Hubby has gone to town to find something specifically for the squirrels.

Outdoor Wednesday- January snows are here.

Well we have been warned and waiting for snow for about 2 weeks.
Finally the first snow  of 2016.
It is beautiful.
I am thankful I do not have to go out in it.
Hubby will take his 4wheel drive and have a blast.

I am checking on all our family to see how they are faring out there.

Thank goodness hubby took care of the bird feeders last night.

I use this lounge chair on the deck to gauge the amount of accumulation.

It is snowing pretty heavily again now.

I scared all the birds off when I stepped out on the deck.

They will be back I am sure.

Everyone have a safe day.

Share the JOY with Meri

It is so easy to forget all the blessings that we have when everything is going our way but developing the habit of finding joy in simple things and blessing we have helps us find much peace in our everyday lives.

I admit I do not care for winter.
When I was young and busy I would go about my day working, caring for my family and adjusted to which ever season was upon us.

Now retirement and some minor health issues find me spending my days enjoying my home and hobbies.

Jewelry making, etc.

Tom and I enjoy feeding and watching the birds outside our kitchen window.
Thankful for our warm home.

Looking after their feeding needs gives us a feeling of helping to care for God's gifts of nature.
The red leaves of the Japanese Maple remind us our gift of having each other still, after 53 years.
We planted that tree on our 40 anniversary.
Sharing our JOY with others.

Happy Thanksgiving to all my blogging friends.

One of those down times. WOW it's Wednesday always cheers me up.

Been under the weather for several days with sinus and allergy flare up and didn't feel much like blogging.

Went out Tuesday, close to the house, and just shoot some local sights.
So grateful to be feeling better.

Love these under the leaves shots.

The Burning Bush privacy shrub is the most beautiful in it's fall garb.

Winter birds being feed now and shots taken through our kitchen window.

Love the red of this Japanese maple through the kitchen window.

Looking for shots for Vee's card party the third Wednesday of the month.

Making plans for holidays.

Airing out the house, birds singing, fresh raindrops on the landscape and a clean smelling house.
Can't beat the JOY of that.

Share the JOY Thursday

I prefer some seasons more than others but find
JOY in all of them.

Winter Cardinals go about their daily activities, mostly eating, just outside our kitchen window.

Cardinals and all the birds
Bring us much JOY as we start each day watching them praise the maker with their beauty.
