The Party for the day

The AC is turned off and the weather is ideal.
Although it is predicted to again return to high temps gotta love while it is nice.

The Lantana is a plant I have not used for several years.
But I did use it this year and it has given us days of beauty.

 Lovely on the patio

A chipper bouquet for the kitchen window

A nice pattern for my next canvas.

When looking up info about this flower it said to cut it back about now and it will bloom until it gets very cold and it there is no sunshine.
Sounds like me
I don't like it much either when it gets cold and there is no sunshine. LOL

So lets make hay while the sun shines.

Our theme this month was Alice in Wonderland.
Received this beautiful one from
Oliva just yesterday.

Oliva does such beautiful work.

You will come away inspired.

This is the one I made for her.
A tiny book with rusty hinges.
Very old book with a very old story.

Giter done

Yesterday I posted that I could not get back in the grove of posting.
When I awoke this AM and doing my prayer time I realized the reason I cannot put much of a post together is I need to visit others more.
Yes visit others, physically and virtually.
I had been so tied up in the making of items for the charity picnic I was short of time to visit my fellow bloggers.
Just been selfish.

I had taken a sabbatical from my art classes and I miss them and the creativity that it allows me.

Go to Paint Page to see what I missed the last few weeks.
I will be back there next week and going to make a new basket next week too.

All the extra surprises with my ATC swap.
All things I could use for other ATC swaps.

Now that is inspiration.

Poetic Monday Potluck

 Balloon Glow

I once went to a balloon glow
With a handsome guy in tow.
I thought the heat from the bright fire
Might warm up his cool desire.
I dragged him over to the bellowing orb.
How much could the fellow absorb?

Oh, no,   it caught his toupee on fire.

ATC swap card day

Well today is
ATC swap day.
Theme for Feb.--Love
My ATC from
Quite a striking piece and sent in a beautiful handcrafted card.
Thanks Courtney
My ATC for Courtney

Double right click for detail
Hearts from quilted fabric decoupaged onto  gold glitter paper
with a key to my heart tied with gold string.
I just recently bought 4 pair of edging scissors and find them so handy for little creative touches and of course can't resit the glitter glue around the edges of the hearts.
To glitter or not to glitter that is the question.
I say glitter, glitter everywhere and nary a bit too much.

Woo Hoo Wednesday
