The Party for the day

The AC is turned off and the weather is ideal.
Although it is predicted to again return to high temps gotta love while it is nice.

The Lantana is a plant I have not used for several years.
But I did use it this year and it has given us days of beauty.

 Lovely on the patio

A chipper bouquet for the kitchen window

A nice pattern for my next canvas.

When looking up info about this flower it said to cut it back about now and it will bloom until it gets very cold and it there is no sunshine.
Sounds like me
I don't like it much either when it gets cold and there is no sunshine. LOL

So lets make hay while the sun shines.

Hooked again and frost on the lawn

Well I can't hardly believe it.
I am hooked again.
At least 20 years ago I got hooked on
Tetris.
With my new Kindle Fire
am
hooked
again.

Oh well I said I wanted to keep my brain moving.
It is moving and so are my fingers.
WooHoo

Frosty mornings but sunny afternoons.
I like that.

We keep bread crumbs and berries here for the birds.

Getting my Tuesday going.

Picky, picky, picky
That is the way I see myself when I start to write about one of my idiosyncrasies.
I love crossword puzzles.
My favorites are from the daily newspapers.
On Monday, Tuesday and Thursdays there is only one in the daily newspaper.

On the other days there are two.
Now Monday does not bother me that there is only one since I am usually busy reorganizing things that got disorganized over the week-end.

But Tuesday leaves me missing that second puzzle.
I know, picky, picky, picky.

So I know, when I wake up, Tuesday is my most unfavorite (?) day.

Tuesday Morning Constitution

I rise in the morning at daybreak and slowly drag myself to the healing place.
The spot where I face the sun and lift my heavy laden heart to soak up the healing rays like a dry dishrag soaking up the warm sudsy water.
Like loving fingers the rays stroke my aching heart and I soon feel the blessing of letting go,
Allowing all the synapses to snap in the right place and at the right time.
Letting the blessings of the healing balm spread through the channels like sun filling the darkness of tiny, narrow, forgotten alleys.
The blessings of knowing I am cared for, of feeling the acceptance of loving hearts around me.
I feel my world is safe, warm and vibrant, even on a cloudy day.
I take my new psyche inside to face the demands of the day with the armor to slay any dragon.
Clear thinking
Clear focus

Mosaic Monday-A beautiful weekend

Finally a beautiful week-end.
Sunshine, little rain, rainbow, sunshine.
Mosaic Monday

Warm enough to swim. Good food. Huge birthday cake. Rain. Rainbow. No Rapture.
It was a great day.

Then on Sunday got some flowers planted.

Go here for Mosaic Monday

Here is a shade loving plant and it is in full bloom right now.
Forgot the name of it.

It comes back bigger and better each year and that makes us all happy.

Magpie Tales #54

Magpie Tales

Willow's prompt

Give It Up

Each day the sun comes out and stays
Maybe one minute, maybe ten
Then fades away.
The clouds are unwavering in their fight to
keep her hidden.
Sometimes gray, sometimes black.
The wind is on the side of the sun.
Pushing shoving to move them to another place.
Sticking little prickles in them trying to drain them of their load.
Get it over with.
Pour out the rain, the snow.
Get it over with.
Can't you see the earth is praying, begging for sunshine.
The people are tired, discouraged.
Winter was long and harsh like a uncaring landlord
not caring there is no work or money coming in.
The earth begs for the sun, to turn things to production again.
The crops, the people themselves need you so bad.

Mosaic Monday

Mosaic Monday
with
Mary

 Skies are cloudy
Days are gray.
Makes one feel a little dowdy.
Soon, some color, I pray,
Will be coming our way.

So tired of posting snow and ice and holding my breath, there is no snow on the ground here, today.
But not much color either.
Had to go to the archives for these.

Addendum

Folks check out the music widget at the top of my sidebar.
This is a new album my our Ima Weed's very talented son.
He has a band Conch Republic Band and plays in Key West and his specialty is Jimmy Buffet music.
This however is his own selection of music that hightlights his instrumental talents.
My favorite is Begin The Beguine and I like Honky Tonky too. LOve it.
He plays a 6 stringed ukelele in these selections.
