WOW Wednesday

A couple of weeks ago, my daughters gave a shower for their niece Nikki, who is expecting a baby in
April.

The theme picked by Nikki was
Baby Bears, books and toys.

The food was great.
Want to show you this dish my daughter did which is perfect for a baby shower.

Deviled egg strollers
Make your deviled eggs your favorite way.
After filling one half egg take the second half and fit it to one end of the filled half.
Using a tooth pick place a round slice of carrot and a sweet pickle on one end of the toothpick, insert it through the top to anchor the roof of the stroller then anchor with another carrot and a pickle.

Do the same for the bottom end.
They were a big hit.
Someone pinned this to Pinterest.

This is the first great grand that arrived in Dec.

The shower this day was for the second great grand due in April.
Love it.

Doing My Thing Day-Three new art projects, Photography and crochet

Doing My Thing Day

My weekly art class is my most favorite thing to do, besides being with my family.

The paintings were done by me and enhanced with Picnik.

Don't you love the cuddly fuzzy little critters in these painting.

Crochet

After all the crocheting I did at Christmas time I had lots of small balls of cotton yarn left over.
While looking for something small to make to use up the leftover cotton I found these little round make-up remover or eye cloths and whipped up a batch.
We love them.

I put them in a mesh laundry bag and wash them over and over for reuse.
Of course they must be made with 100% cotton thread.

Simple ch 4, attach with slip stitch in 4th chain, ch three for 1st dc, 1dc ch 1, 11 times, 12 dc.
Attach with ss to top of ch three.
Ch 3, 1dc in next ch1 space then 2 dc in each ch 1 around.
You will have 24 dc. Attach with ss and secure end.

Go to art crochet on my page under the header for directions to make these.
