Doing My Thing Day
My weekly art class is my most favorite thing to do, besides being with my family.
The paintings were done by me and enhanced with Picnik.
Don't you love the cuddly fuzzy little critters in these painting.
See the touches of green signaling spring is moving in.
Click on twice to see the Canadian Goose showing off for me.
Crochet
After all the crocheting I did at Christmas time I had lots of small balls of cotton yarn left over.
While looking for something small to make to use up the leftover cotton I found these little round make-up remover or eye cloths and whipped up a batch.
We love them.
I put them in a mesh laundry bag and wash them over and over for reuse.
Of course they must be made with 100% cotton thread.
Simple ch 4, attach with slip stitch in 4th chain, ch three for 1st dc, 1dc ch 1, 11 times, 12 dc.
Attach with ss to top of ch three.
Ch 3, 1dc in next ch1 space then 2 dc in each ch 1 around.
You will have 24 dc. Attach with ss and secure end.
Go to art crochet on my page under the header for directions to make these.

yes, I do love these fuzzy characters...the first one's my favorite!
I love picnic - very nice paintings, so happy and cheerful looking. I'm looking forward to Easter! My second most favorite Holiday :-)
Have a great week!
Peggy,
Blessings to you!
The fuzzy little creatures are cute!!! Well done.
You are very creative! I'm impressed.
Thank you for stopping by my blog (Celebrate Friendship) today. I was so happy to see you came and left a note.
Hope you have a great week ahead.
Blessings!
Ruth
What a great idea! I love your blog background...where did you get it?
Nice. They're very seasonal.
Hi Peggy, I sure wish I had kept up with my art when I was younger. I am so bad at it now. I can do cartoon type things by looking at something else, but very hard for me to be creative in an artsy way anymore. That vintage thingie carved wood table you posted about looks like the Indian tables we get on this side of the world. I have a few. Also a fruit stand that is made in the same manner but with a spindled basket on top. Love your shadow photos. Hope all is well! Best wishes, Tammy
You're so artistic! I love the Easter paintings.
You are a talented gal now let me tell you. The bears remind me of the song "Teddy Bears Picnic." And the little make-up removers...what a great way to use up all the little scraps and for a very good purpose. Terrific idea!
I keep losing you so I just signed up as a follower. About time!
Love those little make-up pads - will have to get some done up for friends! Blessings,
I really like the make-up cloths -- I recently made some cloths just a touch larger -- perfect for dishes -- you can wring them out one handed -- and they take up less space -- always a plus.
