Sunlit Sunday in Kentucky

Sunlit Sunday in Kentucky

How wonderful to go just outside your backdoor and be able to shoot  photos like this.
Every year I just so look forward to the blooms on the pear tree ....

.....on the Weeping willow....

.....and the rhododendron.

Makes me want to write a haiku

Spring blooms in my yard,
swaying in a gentle breeze,
what I need today.

I was wondering why the leaves on my rhododendron are so dark purple.
Did a little research and that bush gets sunlight from sunrise to about 2PM.
That seems to be the answer.

Go here and join other sunlit beauties.

Good Morning, Peggy
I love the pear tree blossoms! It certainly would be a treat to have something so lovely in the backyard. I like how you summed up your feelings in the haiku.
