Doing my thing day.
I call these Journey Totes.
They are made of plarn (plastic yarn)
and trimmed with
I call this bag
"Peanut butter and Chocolate"
because of the colors.
"Peanut butter and Chocolate"
because of the colors.
They are all lined and have two pockets.
These will go on the Journey Crafts website to
help raise money for the SCN missions.
This one is named.
"The Blue and The Gray."
Have several basic ones made just waiting to see how these will sell and if they are liked.
Finally someone I know is going to have a baby.
Our daughter's best friend is expecting in April
Working on this afghan for the new baby.
WooHoo.
I love doing afghans.
I can just get lost in that work.
Calms my nerves.
Being able to stay active brings me much joy and sharing makes it even more joyful.

Feeling........Grateful the storm we had on Wednesday was no worse than it was but grieving for the folks in other states lost in that storm.
Thinking..........I do believe that humans have caused the changes in the weather patterns that we are experiencing around the world.
The pollution, chemical and matter that our society causes to rise to the stratosphere has an effect on the routes and formations of clouds and winds that make up our climates.
The only way I'd worry about the weather is if it snows on our side of the field and not theirs.
Tommy Lasorda
I get a laugh out of this quote.

I know what you mean about the crocheting calming your nerves. You can get lost in the motion of the hook and not even pay attention to what you are doing.

Anything that we can do to calm the nerves is a good thing. Crocheting calms mine, too, but it also puts my hands in knots so I have to be careful. Lovely bags given for a good cause! Enjoy making the baby afghan.
They look great QMM.
I knit and crochet for the same reason, Peggy.
Your bags look good and will probably raise money quickly!
Nice colors in those bags ! Like the beads on them, too.
Your bags look fantastic! The color combinations are great and you've even added fun embellishments! Your color combos are great! That is going to be one sweet baby afghan!
There is no way that knitting and crocheting would calm my nerves! My neck and fingers have always tightened up whenever I tried to do it again. Loved catching up on your other posts too!
Love the plarn bags. I love crochet and always do it while watching tv although I only use regular old yarn.
The peanut butter bag brought a smile to my face!
Your bags are beautiful! Kudos to you in raising missions monies with the "fruits of your labor."
I love that Lasorda quote! I never thought of it like that before ...
Beautiful colors, beautiful bags, my favorite is the first. Greetings.
Cool bags, and thanks for stopping by my blog today! I don't crochet but i have been meaning to try to learn, so much to learn, so little time!
I like the blue one- pretty. I love to crochet afghans- and it sure does relieve the stresses of the day to lose yourself in one.
so much beauty here today,
thank you!
Oh Peggy, what a beautiful header. I love that image. You always take the most stunning photos.
Your bags are so gorgeous and very professionally made. Exquisite!
I have not made an afghan in years and long for the day I can take the time to make one again. I also, remember the tranquility in the process. The feel of the tiny hook, the soft yarn in the sweet pastels. I am longing to do it right now. ;-)
I completely agree with you in regards to human responsibility in our weather changes. What bothers me most, is there are too few who even consider this and continue to cause even more harm.
You are such a beautiful soul, sweet Peggy and I love you sista! Hugs, Mina
