Mosaic Monday old jewelry newly found

Mosaic Monday

Since I have become interested in jewelry making and made some pieces for Christmas gifts, I have been digging around in my storage places looking for old jewelry to take apart and use for new pieces.
I came across some pieces that I had not worn for a long time and in fact would be considered out of style by my girls and grands but they are not just the every day stuff.
So I decided to use some of them for my mosaic this week.

These pieces are not of real value but there is a lot of sentiment attached to them.
Don't think I will be taking them apart for spare parts.

Isn't it beautiful. I especially like the porcelain roses!!! Well done!!! Cathy

No - those are too pretty, and with the addition of sentimental value - well, you'll want to keep them for another generation to enjoy.

Vintage jewelry is more valuable than you'd think. I couldn't believe how fast this stuff sold during the estate sale. It was a hit.

You have some beautiful pieces here. I don't think I'd take them apart, either.

Hi Peggy, First of all the Glamor Shot is just that....Glamorous and you are truly a beautiful woman whether glamor shot or just plain click and shoot. i think most jewelry never goes out of style. Your pieces there would be received well today I think by most any age depending of the event and the clothing. I love fooling around with cheap and funky jewelry and if you're wanting to really get into it, look around for some Yahoo groups and you can do swaps. Have a great week.

I think your jewelry is so feminine and pretty. Pretty snazzy glamour shot as well!

Peggy, You have some neat pieces of jewelry and it will be exciting to see what you do with these.

I just bought me some bling this past week-end and I told my sweet hubby that we could start a new tradition for my birthdays!!! Grins....i looked at shiny brooches and fell in love. I have a July birthday so we can start shopping now and get an idea. Hahaha.

God bless,
