For Rebecca

Please read Rebecca's story.

I was having problems dealing with my diabetes this week and just today read about what our beautiful and loving Rebecca is dealing with.
How winpy can I get.
Rebecca always reminds me, with her beautiful words of hope and inspiration, to hold back my shoulders and say
"Lead me Lord."

We are all people needing people.

For the Beautiful and loving Rebecca's story.

She certainly does have a story. I'm so glad that it is much brighter than I first feared as I began reading. She certainly does not allow it to hinder her, does she?! She gives back in "solidarity." Very cool. Hope that your difficulties are resolved as well, Peggy. I know that diabetes can have a mind of its own.

When there is nothing else, there is always hope and a doctor should want that to be his message rather than doom and gloom. I'm glad to see that she rose above his prediction. I hope that you will feel better and get things under control. I came home from school yesterday to find my husband in bed feeling like his blood pressure was through the roof. I think he just had a bad day and needed to get away from work because by the time he went to the doctor, everything was normal. He did come home with a new digital blood pressure monitor and that became his new toy for the evening. My reading was at optimal level. :) He also came home with a blood sugar meter because his mom had adult onset diabetes and now that he is 53, he is beginning to worry about his own health. Sending hugs and blessings your way, Tammy

Hello Queenie. So very sorry about the diabetes giving you problems. God comfort you. So many people are turning up diabetic.

My hubby has type 2 diabetes and takes a tablespoon of extra virgin oil every day and goes heavy on the coffee with half and half. Snacks on nuts like cashews, walnuts, almonds and raisins. Bedtime snack of milk and graham crackers. Staying away from foods with corn syrup in it.

Doctor told him to keep doing what he has been doing. His readings have been good.

God bless you,
d

What a story....It reminds me of when I was diagnosised with Rheumatoid Arthritis. I came home and pulled out my Merck Manual. (It is an indepth medical book, most of it over my head) I began reading and some of the things I read were scary... I continued to read and turned the page. The words "Death is imminent in 3-5 years" lept off the page at me. I closed the book and prayed. Lord I accept this, but please help me teach my 2 girls everything they need to know in the next 3-5 years. I prayed some more and then picked up the book to read further. To my delight I discovered the onion skin pages of the book had stuck together. The death sentence was for a different disease! RA is no fun at times, but Rebecca has had that death sentence given to her without the benefit of finding pages stuck together. I applaud her strength and for never giving up. Thanks for sharing this with us.
