Thanksgiving Challenge
Day #3
I love the changing of seasons and I love living in a four seasons climate.
The gifts of each season are enormous.
But you have to look for them.
After the hard frost we had a few days ago, I discovered this in the area where my fishpond and waterfall had been.
I had a beautiful Clematis climbing up behind the waterfall which had been cut down, so I thought.
Blooms hanging on protected by a nearby Japanese Maple and Oak trees.
If the future road loom ominous or unpromising, and the road back uninviting, then we need to gather our resolve and, carrying only the necessary baggage, step off that road into another direction. – Maya Angelou
Day #3

A touch of summer still hanging on.
The struggle of nature to hang on coupled with the
protection of community. Reminds me of Jesus' plan for his church.
I then went out to bring in the newspaper. Just before daylight.
HH had left his car in the driveway and it was covered with frost.
I am thankful for the gifts of nature and find joy in the simplest of these.

Feeling..........Better than yesterday and the 4 days before.
Thinking.......This has got to be the worse virus attack I have ever had.
Grateful........That it is gradually going away. Slow, but it is going away. I hope far away into the wild blue yonder and will bother no one else.
Gotta love the small things
while at the same time disliking the slowness of my computer this AM.

I like that phrase "protection of community." That is definitely what the church should be. May I do my part in keeping my church that way!
Love it that you were thinking of joy even when there is frost on the windshield. So often, my initial reaction to frost on a windshield is NOT joy! :)

I adore your outlook on life. I am snuggled up in bed succombing to the fact that this exhaustion is my doing since I hit the ground running after my virus. Take time to sip your coffee and give yourself time to speed back up to full gear. Enjoy reading your blog always.

It is amazing to think of all the small and large things we are blessed with each day.
It's promising that you feel better and able to be at your computer. I do wish all computers would move at lightning speed...it is a problem when visiting so many friends if the computed bogs down.
What a great quote from Maya. Now that's one to snag because I think we're all facing these things all the time as we continue on through this life.
