Doing my Thing Day- Not much

Today is Doing My Thing Day.
But, because of all the things I did Sunday I cannot do much today.
Old enemy sciatica has reared it's ugly head.
Can't sit for long.

Got my acrylics class homework done and my oil painting class homework done and tried something new.

About 3 days ago I smeared this canvas with gesso.

 Found this on Sketchbook challenge.

Smeared a thick layer of gesso on a canvas leaving valleys and peaks then mixed in a little color pushing and poking it around with a palate knife.
I just kept moving the gesso around as long as it was just a little movable.
This is the way it ended up.

It took it about three days to dry, but I like it.

I would like to send you over to visit my dear blogging friend in Alaska.
She has her usual beautiful card for this day and her words are so sweet and inspiring.
go here to visit Shelly.

Ice pack and rest for me.

That sciatica is a killer. I know that when I sit too long at this dang computer at school, I get major tingling in my legs and will be miserable sometimes for days. Just depends on how or how long I sit. I never had this problem before. I think everyone in this day and age sits way too long without getting up and moving around. Not a good thing! I put a heat packing on when I have pain. So nice that you are trying out new mediums. Always great to accomplish something different. Nice painting. Have a wonderful Wednesday. Tammy

Hello Peggy.
Sorry that pain has flared up. May you get to feeling better right away.

Thinking about you this Spring day.

I like seeing what you've created!!!

I'm hoping one day soon that I will start drawing again. Praying that I get my home cleaned up.

Have a sweet day,
d

Happy Day to you Queenmothermawma,
I am so sorry you are having trouble with that sciatica...that is a big pain...I will say a prayer for you.
I LOVE YOUR PAINTING!!!!!! How big is the painting...You can't tell what size things are over the internet...
Were you out working in your yard.....
I don't ever plant anything new until after April 15th because we have had some big snow storms in April and it freezes everything up....but Daddy has already planted his onions and potatoes, I think....I have a short memory lately.
Thanks for visiting my blog and I say AMEN Sista...and America doesn't care...or at least 70% of them.
Take it easy and don't over due it.
Have A Sugar Sweet Day
hugs and hugs
Simply Debbie

Yes, I like that, too. Of course you could bring it to class.
