Friday Shoot Out
So today's theme is
What is your town is thankful for.
Well I know what my town is thankful for but since it rained for three days here and the two days I was in town I was unable to get any shots due to the rain and snow.
We are so tired of sights like the above.
All of our beautiful trees in the downtown area were removed and it was rumored they would not be replaced.
A look at our down town with all the former trees,
Columnor sugar maples.

We are all grateful the work is finished and all the new
trees,
Frans Fontaine European Homebeams are in place.
I share the above video with you until I can get new shots of the Downtown Revitalization Project.

That was some tour!! Looks like we only ran one light. I think I'll take it again. Wheeeee!
I wish I could explain how scarey that was whizzing around like that on the 'wrong' side of the road!
Why would they want to remove all of those beautiful trees. I love the Stephen Foster Musical. I've seen it probably three times. I must take LadyCat to see it next year. In the video around the courthouse circle there is a restraurant there in that yellow building to the right. I've taken my family there for lunch while down there visiting My Old Kentucky Home. Thanks for the revisit!!
LadyCat and I are so excited to see you and Tom Jones. Hopefully, he will entertain us with that dynamic voice of his!
See you in Scotland, my dear!

Love this idea. I too hated the updating of our small circle. It is not as appealing to me and the loss of parking for the redo is one of my pet peeves.
Hope you get some nice weather to get out and shoot some photos.
Protect the trees!
I really like your new header photo. It feels like a cozy Christmas. Love it.
We have those orange cones all over Las Vegas. It seems the road work is never done.
so sad when they remove trees. In New Zealand, once a tree had grown as certain height, it is not allowed to be cut down.
The photos could almost be like my little town, too many constructions and re-constructions! but trees are always re-planted elsewhere! Soon we will have another Botanic Garden in the Marina Bay, with trees being replanted there!
Are they a least moving the maples? Please don't tell me they are just destrying such lovely trees in the name of progress.
wow! the video made me dizzy! Michigan is known to have two seasons, construction and winter!!
I love your new header! and the quote right below actually they both speak volumes.
the video wouldn't open for me. can you ask the town's leaders WHY!?
