Take it like a real woman Zenyatta

I am grateful for the wonderful diversity of the seasons in my part of the world.
For the beautiful splash of color in the fall, the softness of the snow in winter, the tenderness of new life of spring and the carefree days of summer.

Well I am disappointed that Zenyatta did not win first place on Saturday, but she sure put her heart into second place.
I thought she was gonna make it.
Beat by 1/2 a head.
That's the way it goes.

From what I learned about Zenyatta this week, she loved being herself, happy just being, wherever she was. She spent yesterday just cooling it around the grounds while all the hoopla was going on.
She ran second and she was as proud after the race as she was before.
I have been reading Proverbs and I pray for wisdom.
Winning first place isn't everything.
Zenyatta is a wise ole gal.

I guess I am a feminist. I must admit one of the reasons I wanted her to win was she was the only female against the males.
But, after all, for me, it takes nothing away from her.

There is nothing more beautiful than a Woman Of Wisdom.

I said if she won I would put her on my header.
She is on my header anyway.

What a gorgeous horse! Hubby was watching the race on TV - this is the first time he's ever watched the races. I perked up my ears and told him that you would probably be glued to the TV as well. Some race though!

I watched the race, and I thought she just might do it, she was in last and came so close. Hey I felt the same as you and wanted her to win for almost the same reasons. Hope your back is better...:-)Hugs
