The snow is gone. The wind is furious but it is March.

Hope

Finally, signs of Spring.

Had to brush a little snow and leaves away but there they were.

Received a nice pack of ATC swap cards from Nikki Smith this week.

The theme was Oriental or Asian

Love these.

My swap cards sent to her.

Made large sheets of multi-media background and then cut them into 3 1/2 by 2 1/2 for swap cards.

Love that mixed media.

Well here it is Hump day, but it does not mean the same to me since retirement.

But happy hump day anyway.

Riding around town there are some pretty neat fall and Halloween and Thanksgiving displays out there.

Husbands, a little tip from a wife if you want a long marriage.

A few days ago I was so excited that the petunias that had all died away had found new life.
A cold snap, no rain and I thought they were gone.
Warmer weather some rain and wala

HH (Handsome Husband) gets a big kick out of how simple things make me happy, 

This was beside my breakfast plate the next morning.
Yes, he cooks breakfast every morning.
It earned him a big hug.

WOW us Wednesday-Prayer for unity around the world

Today is one of those days.

You know, that will live in infamy.

I was 6 when Pearl Harbor happened with 3 beloved uncles in the army and navy.
Even though we were young we knew the significance of the event.

Then in 2001 my fears and dread included our children and grandchildren.
Those things had no meaning to me at age 6.

Many of us in my faith community are doing a 40 day fast and prayer for world peace.

Last year I painted this 8x10 on canvas for our Social Worker daughter.

I offer it today as a symbol of the need to put our arms around all our sisters and brothers in this world and pray for

"Unity"

You may have seen this on one of my other posts but I have been wearing these lately and have some new thoughts. 

 Made from old sunglass lenses.

Painted with acrylic paint, roughed up, stickons and wrapped with wire to hold a chain.

I love to tackle new things that I see but sometimes after I have done it one time I want to get involved with another project.

Yes I have been wearing these lately and folks just love them.

Next comes

"Why don't you make them and sell them in an ETSY shop?"

I might be willing to make a friend one but put them up for sale?

No way.

I do not like dead-lines or to be on a time-line anymore.
Don't want to mess with money or having to compete.
I am retired and I want to do my own thing in my own time.
Anyone else like that?
