Finding treasures with Tom

Property where the first ancestors on my father's side built after moving to Kentucky.

It remained in our family for over 200 years.
The fence was built by slaves and maintained to this day.

You can see remains of slave quarters stacked in the back.

It was sold just a few years ago.
My father was born here.

Bridging the mighty Ohio, just about 30 miles from where I live.

Daily sight in my neck of the woods.

My town is very historic.
Many of the original homes still stand.

WOW, what historic homes! Just the kind of homes I would expect to see at a living history museum. Stone fences are very popular here these days. Thanks so much for joining in this week and I hope to see you back soon.

You live in a beautiful area! I love the historic homes and the stone walling is a work of art to me!

I love seeing those old homes! The property where your family lived is beautiful and I like the stone fence. My sister and I own some property that my great grandfather bought over a hundred years ago for $10.00. I still have the original deed with the price on it.
