Finding treasures with Tom

Property where the first ancestors on my father's side built after moving to Kentucky.

It remained in our family for over 200 years.
The fence was built by slaves and maintained to this day.

You can see remains of slave quarters stacked in the back.

It was sold just a few years ago.
My father was born here.

Bridging the mighty Ohio, just about 30 miles from where I live.
 

Daily sight in my neck of the woods.

My town is very historic.
Many of the original homes still stand.

Looks like a little protection around the base of that tree.

Just left there right in the road

Had to turn around.

While visiting the Trappist Monastery at Gethsemani, Ky.
Found this brass cow bell in the gift shop.
Just had to have it.

I would love to hang it outside but do not want it damaged.
