FSO-Critters in our back yard

The strangest critter we have ever found in our backyard was a huge turtle that had escaped his collection barrel in our neighbor's yard.

I cannot find the picture but it was about 12 inches in diameter.

HH took it to town and gave it to some friends who love to cook and eat turtle meat.
Our neighbor found out about it and went to get the turtle back.
He was saving it for a big turtle eating cookout.

Here are the usual critters in our back yard.
These a sneaky little critters, they can move so fast.

This one sure blends in.

Black Swallowtail Butterfly.

These are gone for another year.

Between our yard and our neighbor's.

Go here to see more critters in the yards.

Nice selection of critters at your house. I didn't see a bee, do you have bees in your neighborhood?

It would be interesting to set up a camera and catch all the critters that wander by at all hours.

I too have been washing humming bird feeders for next year. Waiting for the rain to go and then reload the feeders. Thanksgiving is almost here.
Hope you had children come by the house Halloween. No one came here,
I'll take the red candied apples to the Church. Miss the way it was.

I was thinking the same thing as GingerV, you have lots of critters in your backyard. Winter cold has crept in so even the magpies have left.

The last one is my favourite out of these :) We have wild rabbits around here too but none of them chose to appear when I was out with my camera yesterday.

I'm jealous, you have a great lot of backyard visitors. Particularly love the last shot of the deer, it looks so tranquil.
