Calling all crafters. Pendants with sunglass lens. WOW us Wednesday

Saw an idea recently I have been working on.

Found 3 pair of old sunglasses and that means 6 lenses to work with.

As you can see these are not finished since this is the first time I have tried working with this item.

Have not found a way to make a hole in the lenses that are glass so am trying wrapping with wire.
Have done lots of jewelry pieces with wrapping.

With plastic lens a hot needle can be used to make a hole for the rings to apply the chain to.

You can see where we tried to drill a hole in the green but it was glass and it broke. Will play with it and probably use it anyway.
Makes it look vintage and worn.

My teen grands love this type of jewelry.

Will probably use this chain or maybe rawhide for the chain.

I painted the lens with acrylic, distressed it and covered with Mod Podge.

The stones are "Gemstones" from the Paper Studio.
Self-adhesive.

Will post once finished.

Well, those wrapped sunglass lenses are certainly right up there with the modern style. Good for you!
