Friday Shoot Out- What kind of work you do.

Friday Shoot Out

I am a retired RN and an associate of the Sisters of Charity of Nazareth Kentucky.

Part of our commitment as associates is to help out in a volunteer position somewhere with the sisters or within one of the missions of the sisters.
The Visitor's Center is part of the Office Of Congregational Advancement.

This office is responsible for generating the moneys needed for the work of the congregation.

I have been working in the Gift Shop that was located at Nazareth for several years which is now the Visitor's Center.

The Campus is included in a town tour map of our town.

My job is that of Hostess which I do every Friday from 1PM to 4PM.
I love doing it.
Meeting people from all over and getting to talk about the work of the sisters
which is very dear to my heart.

Visitors are shown a 10 minute film of the different missions and work of the sisters in US, India, Belize, Napal and Botswana

Items for sale in the Visitor's Center.

Books written and published by the sisters.

Four Seasons of the Campus on note cards.

Woodcut silhouette of the Motherhouse and St. Vincent's Church in celebration of the 200th celebration of their founding.

Thousands of boxes of homemade candy are sold by the Visitor's Center each year.
The sisters have been making this candy for many years.
It is absolutely scrumptious.

Like Ginger, I perceive you as perfectly suited for this work. I imagine you as a gracious, elegant hostess in a lovely environment. Imagining you in that role gives me the warm fuzzies.
