Having..........Folger's coffee in my Doc Martin mug.
Feeling.........relaxed and well rested after a good night's sleep. The cooler weather has been good for our electric bill since the AC has not run during the night at all.
Thinking.........About a new way of looking at illness and pain since my week-end retreat at The Abby of Gethsemani.
I received so many blessings as a result of being part of the nursing team for the retreat.
The retreatants received a special blessed cross, healing blankets made by members of St. Barnabas church, the anointing and blessing of the sick and on Sunday all the retreatants feet were washed by the staff in the way that Jesus taught us.
There were many smiles and some tears as the ill learned to accept the love of all those around.
There was much Joy evident that week-end.
Let us touch the dying, the poor, the lonely and the unwanted according to the graces we have received and let us not be ashamed or slow to do the humble work.

Completed Hydrangeas in an old bucket.
It took us 2 weeks to complete this 8x10 on canvas board with acrylics.
I love this painting because I love hydrangeas.
I gives me much joy to be able to be part of the world of painting.
Pop over to Paint Page and take a look at some more hydrangeas in an old bucket.
This is my painting teacher's blog.

Wonderful painting, I have been a exquisite hydrangeas. Greetings.
I, too, love hydrangeas.
You painted the color variations in the blooms just perfectly.
I love your hydrangeas! It's a really beautiful painting, QMM.
Blue being my favorite color, I could gaze with admiration at your hydrangea painting for hours!

I love hydrangeas, too! Lovely painting. And in your musings about the retreat, you reminded me of living in Denver and the wonderful St. Barnabas parish there.
