The theme this week is fences, fencing, gates.
Gates and Fences
They can be practical
or decorative.
Let's show them in their best light!
Fencing at our daughter's home from the sun porch.
Another view of the fencing.
That's a lot of fence.
That's a lot of fence.
A fine gate in one of the finest neighborhoods.
Unique gate into the private drive, around the lake and up to the Spanish style home.
Romantic arbor gate at one of the old
Victorian homes in town.

Historic back gate at the Old Jail Inn B&B.
Weather worn fence around the old
one room schoolhouse.
Just a little bit of fence.
Well I almost went berserk with all these photos since I have found out how to get them to load onto my post.
Finally.
Guess I had better stop.

These are great! If I had to pick one, I would say the gate at the Old Jail Inn.
I love all your photos!
Beautiful fences. Love it!

Lovely all! Your daughter certainly has a beautiful fence and manicured lawn. Sweet. My favorite photo is of the arbor with roses. It's giving me ideas...
well missy you have done it again, I already can see one, don't know which one, but one of these spotlighted. I like the first but that Only means I like the first, they are all great. this view will only get better as those trees mature.

Well, you have outdone yourself ! And you have been out gadding about. A fabulous post. You know I like the Jailers Inn the best. You need to try that one with your watercolor pencils.
It's so pretty in your neck of the woods!
Peggy, Your daughter's place is beautiful and has a wonderful view. Lots of fun for kiddos to run around.
You photos are really great. Thanks for sharing
Hugs,
Ginger
I think I may have lost my comment. If not you will have two. I loved all the neat fences. Your daughter's place is fantastic. So great for children.
Hugs, Ginger
Great first shot, it's such a strong photo....However the Flintstones gate posts are calling to me.
It looks so pretty and green everywhere! I love the back gate to the old jail inn! What a beautiful part of the country you live in!
My third attempt to post a comment. Wow! That is a great selection of fences. Love the first one, it just shouts out that it's all about the fence. The Old Jail door is quite something! But the one I really love is the last which tells such a story (you could recycle that one when it comes up)!
is that your daughter's house. I like just to visit, not to live because I am such a lazy housekeeper.
Tough lookin' b&b! And what a beautiful trellis. It will be months before we have roses here in Oregon. Great job, Peggy!
Great collection of gates and fences. I like that arbor gate with the roses.
So many familiar looking fences and gates and some that are completely unusual. That gate at the back of the jail looks exactly like the doors on the wall of one our oldest burial grounds (1600s). I'm not sure what's behind it and I pretty much don't want to know!
I am drooling over your daughter's property and I love that black fence. You have such a great selection this week, all of the photos are great. I love wooden fences of all kinds, weathered, rustic, new, painted. You have captured them all. And that jail gate is magnificent. I think I remember that from a previous post.
Love the fence separating Trenton from the big horses. And the tiny fence -- they come in all sizes.
