Even the birdies got a Christmas pressie

All kinds of gifts for Christmas around here.
Kentucky blue and white everywhere.

Brother Joe never missed a football game.
Now his ears will be warm.

SIL Linda will have warm hands and can shake her pom poms without even taking her gloves off.

There is no bird feed in this feeder because even the birds got a gift.

The old feeder had sunflower seeds.
HH ran out of those.
The new feeder has regular bird seed and none of the birds have visited.
He decided to leave the sunflower seed feeder empty and maybe they would have to rely on the new feeder.
Not yet.

Share the Joy Thursday with Meri

The joy of being with family and friends, praying together, playing together and  sharing is at the top of my list this Christmas week.

The joy that HH and I get from watching the birds each morning is so calming and readies us for the coming day.

Celebrating Friendship with Ruth is another way to share that joy all around our cyber world.

Having........hot coffee in my regular coffee cup

Thinking.........about all the loved ones we have been blessed with and offering prayers for those suffering around the world.

Feeling........so blessed and resolving to do more this year to ease someone's pain, even in my small way.
(Oops that sounds like a New Year's resolution)

Today's Word

"Brothers and sisters, I do not consider myself yet to have taken hold of it. But
one thing I do: Forgetting what is behind and straining toward what is ahead, I
press on toward the goal to win the prize for which God has called me heavenward
in Christ Jesus." (Philippians 3:13 NIV)

Looking forward with Joy to all the great blogging experiences to come to share with you.

Nice birdie photos...a few years ago we tried to wean our flock of birds from one brand of bird seed to another that was cheaper. Well our cardinals protested and waited and waited and waited; since the cardinals are such favorites here we gave in before they did. Also we changed bird feeders several years back with a rather expensive one that was guaranteed squirrel proof. The cardinals did not like it either, but after several conversations with experts it stayed and finally they accepted it. Well it lost its squirrel proofness when we were gone and did not take down the bird feeder; it ended up nearly dismantled in the yard--attack of the squirrels. Jerry put it back together but it has never been the same. Enoyed the post.
