Day 12 and the final posting of Mornings with Mary.and linking with Mosaic Monday

Day 12 of Mornings with Mary.
Happy feast day of Our Lady of Gaudalupe.
I love the bright colors and the passion portrayed in
that expression of Mary.
Here is my personal shrine to Mary Queen of the Holy Rosary.
That was my mother's rosary around her neck.
One of my posts earlier mentioned a date on my statue of Mary that I had when I was a little girl.
A date of a very unhappy event in my life.

This statue was given to us as a wedding present and has a date on the bottom of this.
April 23, 1960
Our wedding date.
My sister and I were married in a double wedding and we both knelt  on the steps of Mary's shrine at the church, placing our bouquets and asking for her blessing on our marriages.

I say the Rosary, a bouquet of roses in honor of Mary, each day.
Since I don't play the violin any more I have lots of little mementos from friends of violinists to grace my little altar.

She rests on the top shelf of my computer table where I can see her when ever I am using the computer.
I want to thank Rebecca for hosting this glorious celebration of the many faces and feelings Mary has to offer to us as we journey along our way.
May all of you continue to rejoice in the beauty of art, poetry, literature and just plain old daily living in your truth.

Just heard again today how young Mary was when the Angel brought her the news that she would bear a child - the Savior of the world and her Lord and Master! What a gracious God!

you have shared in such a deeply personal way with stories from your life and heart.
thank you for this beautiful image of you and your beloved sister placing your wedding bouquets before mary and asking her to bless your marriages. thank you for your prayer of peace and inclusion of all.
your devotion remains in my heart; just as her flowers became the fabric of juan diego's mitla, and from both the song of mary sings out so reassuringly.

I want to thank you for the very personal way you shared your stories with us and the symbols, too, of your life. How I would love to see some photos of that double wedding. My own wedding was on Sept. 6, 1958. And I, too, placed flowers on Mary's altar. I'll continue to visit.
