Humpty Dumpty had a great fall

Wish it had been Humpty but it was yours truly.
Fell outside in my yard yesterday. Who knows why.
Fell right on my face and thank goodness my glasses where all twisted but not broken.
Fell in the chipped rock area around our landscaping.
I finally was able to get up but two artificial knees make it hard to get up with nothing to hold onto.
Not even close to a tree or bush.
Whoo Hoo.

Looks like the old lady will be getting one of those alert thingies, according to my family.
My face is quite colorful today.
Went to ER they did a scan on face and head.
Negative for any fractures.
Of course that took about 8 hours to get through.
BP was up, now I have to look into that.
Face pretty scratched up and bruised.
But aside from being a little sore I am good for another few days or weeks or years or whatever He has in mind for me.
Might be laying low a few days on the computer.
Love ya all.

Oh, girl, it is a lucky thing you were able to get up. I am so glad you were not seriously hurt. But, a colorful face sounds interesting.

Oh Peggy - I'm so sorry to read this. A fall is such a disturbing thing, even if nothing is broken, one feels so shaken up. I hope you are resting and recovering.

BP up? Well, I guess so! IMO that should not be a great worry right now. Sorry about that fall and wish you a speedy recovery.

So sorry to hear about your fall Peggy. You need to be careful. I used to install Lifeline units when I lived in Georgia -- I was in the Pilot Club and it was one of our community service projects. Really enjoyed it a lot. Wishing you a speedy recovery. Best wishes, Tammy

I did this very thing a few weeks ago and wrenched my hip. I thought it would never heal...

I hope you get back to your old self soon. Happy Mending!

Okay, was yesterday self-mutilation day???
I ran the John Deere into a tree, got hit in the face with a rather large limb and was almost knocked backwards off the still running tractor. (can you say going too fast???) Thought for sure I would have a fat lip or bruises, but lucked out.
You take care of yourself my dear; we need alert thingies so we can call each other---as we of a certain age UNDERSTAND!

XXOO~~

Oh, dear - so glad nothing was broken, but how tough to be hurting that way! An alert bracelet is a good idea. Take care dear friend, need you around for a while yet!

Oh, I'm so sorry, QMM. I'm thankful you weren't seriously injured, but saddened you took such a tumble.

Feel better.

I'm so sorry about this falling business and so proud of you for finding out what was going on. I fall when my sciatica acts up. I really have to be careful on stairs. John says that one second I'm there and the next I've disappeared. It's funny until it's not. Take good care of yourself...also glad for all the proactive measures you've taken. Smart nurse! Good patient! By the way, Peggy, Jesus is older than dirt! :D
