Vintage Thingie Thursday

Yes today is Thursday.

Go over and check out Suzanne's blog.
This is one of my favorite meme's of the week.

It keeps me on my toes finding things that I have that have been put away to make way for new things.
But, truly, there is nothing like the Vintage Thingies.

There is still snow on the ground in Kentucky and it is still very cold, but the snow has stopped falling for now.

Many of us could use one of these.

What a wonderful surprise our art class received when one of the students donated a box full of these that she had purchased in Germarny years ago.

It is a bed warmer.

Hot water or hot coals were put in this and used in the bed or just for the feet, when sitting around or put in the carriage or even taken to church.

We will clean it up and paint it for a vintage item for our homes.

We never had one of these, but used a hot brick. Trust me, when it is freezing outside, it truly makes your bed warmer. I probably would not have survived without a hot brick in my bed.

Just the ticket - one of those on the cold sheet a few minutes before getting into bed......I use a barley bag warmed up in the microwave - oh how far we've come!!

Those bed warmers are nice when they are warm but dare you put your feet on them in the morning - what a shocking way to wake up ;-)

A bed warmer!
Think we all need one of these as our temps are hitting the 0 mark outside.

God bless you,
