Magpie tales #34

Willow's
Magpie Tales
Prompt

So Cold

There is nothing so cold as a lamp
without a flame, for warmth and light,
without a wick to deliver the fuel,
without  fuel to feed it...

...unless it is a
soul without faith to warm and light it,
without hope to carry the fuel,
without love to feed it.

Go here for more Magpie Tales.

Added note.

Went over to link with willow and found out I missed the ball. Boo Hoo Hoo. But it sounded wonderful.
Miss Margaret and Mr. Tom will make sure we get there next year. All those folks and friends we made last year and all the wine and food we missed. So sad.
The winds of old age keep blowing our flames out.
Got to stay on watch.

lovely magpie, QMM. Sincerity in every word you say.

I too missed the ball, but more from choice than oversight. Big crowds frighten me.
