Adventure Express and day #4 of Thanksgiving.

Adventure Express

Action, finally, at our house yesterday.
We were at drought status.

These still photos were taken during a wind storm with tornado warnings and the first rain in months.

I took a video of the action but do not know how to get it to my blog, so we have still photos of this storm.
Doesn't look too drastic in still photos.

But the rain, after months of none, was an adventure.

Tamara at Branch of Wisdom is offering us the opportunity to daily give thanks for the gifts given us by God.  So from today October 24, 2010 to November 24, 2010 we are asked to share in this  journey of Thanksgiving.   Please stop by her blog and read more about the specifics.

Today I am so thankful for the 1 inch of rain we received.
We had been waiting for the rain to pass so the yardman could come and manicure the landscape.
I am thankful for our faithful, trustworthy yardman.
He will be here today.

It was good to have the rain but with the wind it sorta rained horizontally here. Got home and only had a few branches down. Yes, it was good! I, too am thankful for the rain! Have a grand day! Cathy

Hello Peggy, It looks so pretty and you cannot tell a storm had passed through accept for a couple of puddles. Keep safe. I would not like to live with tornados...but we do live with the edge of cyclones. Hugs

Wind storms haven supposedly moved into our province, but they haven't reached this far east yet -- if they are going to.

We all have needed rain, but not the storms that seem to be popping up. Glad you did not receive any real severe weather.

Oh yes, I was glad to see the rain come too! Our pastures are crunchy and brown but amazingly the flowers are still pretty and it's almost November!
