My VT for today, is coming back in style.
That is what I hear on TV and see on Video.
In 1954 I received this box with my birthday present in it.
It was from my paternal grandmother.
She had gotten it with stamps she had saved.
I have forgotten which ones. Top Value Stamps seems to come to my mind.
It was for my16th birthday.
I remember her letting me look at the lists of gifts one could redeem with the stamps and letting me pick out what I wanted.
Please over look the date on this photo. Something is wrong with my setting.
Have been in the Caribbean several time and brought this fabric home with me from my time in Belize.
A uke seems to go with warm balmy breezes.
I, of course, had forgotten about it until my friend sent me the music I put up on my sidebar of her son and his music made with a ukulele.
Then I found other videos of musicians who play the uke.
I was able to tune it and play one song.
"Five foot two, eyes of blue, oh what those five feet can do. Has anybody seen my gal?"
When I was in high school, myself and 3 friends had a little uke band.
We called ourselves "The Ukettes"
We played at little community get-togethers and school activities.
I even saw an old book of uke music at the antique store the other day. That was before I found my own ukulele. I am hustling up there tomorrow to see if it is still there.
My grands will have a fun time.
I had a dulcimer and took lessons for a time, but I don't know where that is now.
I am also going to to have Tea Time with some lovely folks.
I am having Lemon Honey Chamomile too.
Our daughter brought this to us from Disneyland.
It is the official unbirthday tea.
There is Mad Tea Party Blend and
Earl Grey.
Using my new cobalt blue cup I just found at my favorite thrift shop.
I collect cobalt blue but this is the first cup I have found.
I hope you will double click on the photo to see the beautiful bird.
The sun was out today in our neck of the woods and our youngest daughter is spending the night with us.
I am feeling a heart full of gratitude.
I love to visit and talk about our children.
f you want children to keep their feet on the ground, put some responsibility on their shoulders.
