Sepia Saturday #54
Sepia Saturday
When I began my research into my husband's family, I knew his father as an elderly man.
I had seen no pictures of him as a young man and very few at all.
I found this photograph in the WW I war records at the Nelson County Genealogy Roundtable.
It reads.
On the right
John C. Jones
Bardstown, Kentucky
April 1914
It says nothing about who the man on the left is.

We knew he had said he did not know his mother or father as he was orphaned at age 3.
This document states he was raised by someone else and also the date he entered.
April 1914 at age 28.
He was discharged in May 1919.
He served USA army of occupation Germany.
