Giving thanks on my day before Thanksgiving birthday

As I celebrate 76 years of life on the day before Thanksgiving, I am so grateful for my faith, family and friends.

Every seven years my son's, whose birthday is Nov. 26 and mine Nov. 27th, fall on Thanksgiving day.

I was 24 the day after he was born.
What a wonderful birthday gift.

Our first child a beautiful healthy boy.

Makes it easy for us to remember.

With all this niceness I can be naughty too.

Love a frozen Margarita to celebrate.

After all my real name is Margaret.

Such JOY to have family and fun to share this week.

Listen for His Purpose

"Who is the man who reverently fears and worships
the Lord? Him shall He teach in the way that he should
choose. He himself shall dwell at ease...
The secret of the Lord have they who fear Him."

Psalm 25:12-14

When I was a young girl I was always confused by the word 'fear' in the scriptures.
I thought that meant I was to be afraid of God.
Of course as I grew and had more in depth education into the scriptures, I came to understand the word fear to mean awe.

My awe of God eventually came to manifest itself in my appreciation of all things around me.
First nature and humanity.
Especially the gift of His Son Jesus.
As I grew older and had opportunities to study music, art. medicine and literature my awe of God extended into every aspect of my life.
Gratitude became the major virtue of my understanding of the
Awesomeness of God.
Every choice in my life has been based on what I feel is my purpose in life.

Yesterday was our youngest daughter's 34th birthday.

We had our "girl's" celebration of her birthday last night and all day long I felt the presence of all my children and grandchildren and the miracle of their existence.
My purpose in life is to know, love and to serve God in every aspect of my life.

The guest of honor.
She loves a birthday party.

Next to Beth is gd Jill, gs Trenton, drs, Julia, Jennifer,
gd Cindy and daughter Rachel.

A girls only celebration is held for each member of our family according to their likes and availability to get together.

Lovely scarf gift with fleur de lis for the Daylily.

What a great group
(Sorry about the fuzzy photos)

Well you know what is coming next.

I have never had this happen before.
The waitress could not speak English.
She started to spoon ice cream and Kool Whip to me. okay, one bite.

 WAIT A MINUTE.
I could not get her to stop.
Kool Whip all over my face, in my hair and all over my glasses.
Going just a little too far.
LOL

You can be sure this group got a big kick out of this.

We then went to the movie to see Harry Potter which I love.

Go here to enjoy some more Adventures.

Oops, I forgot about the recipe.

Creative Tuesday- Theme birthdays

Everyone loves a birthday party.
Now when you are small a birthday is enough unto itself.
In later years it takes a party to help me through.
