I have mentioned our town is a big tourist town.
We are the Bourbon Capital of the World.
We have 71 restaurants in our county.

This is my favorite.
Welcome to Kreso’s!
The Journey of the Kreso's family began in war-torn Bosnia and brought them to Bardstown, Ky. Dzevad and Merima Kreso and their three young daughters fled their homeland of Bosnia to find a new life away from the terror of war. This refugee family was welcomed by this community almost 15 years ago. In their homeland they were successful restaurant owners, and after making their home in Bardstown, they opened Kreso's Family Restaurant.
The restaurant was finally opened in 2004.
They purchased two movie theaters side by side and renovated them into this most beautiful restaurant filled with all the opulence of their restaurant in Bosnia.
The food is excellent.

One wall with paintings of Hollywood stars who had visited them in Europe.
Humphrey Bogart, Marilyn Monroe, Elvis Presley, Jimmy Dean.
Wall after wall of art and the bar is original to the Bosnian restaurant also.
The stages were renovated and large videos and concerts are held in the back of the restaurant with food and drink.
It looks like a movie set.
This is a treasure to our town.
Linking up with Backroadstraveller.

I can see and feel all the love they put in the opening of their restaurant. The walls look so beautiful with all those great paintings.
A priceless treasure. Have a wonderful day!
All that art is beautiful.
What a nice place! I wish that more folks would realize that this nation was built by refugees seeking a better life for their families. Thanks Peggy for sharing your hometown treasure. I hope to see you soon.
What a dream - and a lovely outcome.
It really has a lot of old school charm. I would enjoy sitting down to a meal there...
