Some Treasures from the backroads

Tom's Photo

Traveling with Tom on the back roads.
Came across some yard art on my ride.

 Very realistic.

 Same yard.

Just down the road from me is a convenient roadside store with this huge rooster named
"Ossie"
This rooster has been here for many years as the store was opened many years ago and was the center and still is of this little community.

The name of the community is
Rooster Run.
It is said that all the men would gather here and drink beer and talk about their "old hens."
According to the story all the old hens advanced on the store and the men one day  with brooms sticks and shooed them all home.
It was heard said
"Look at all those Roosters Run."
and that is how it got its name.
