Finding Tom's Treasures on the road.

Tom's Treasures.

Old Chapeze Distillery
When I was down there a few years ago it had not been restored.
It was really very creepy.

My Pictures

The building above was the only thing restored. The rest remains the same for years.

From their website and before restoration.

Parts of the
movie Stripes with Bill Murray was filmed here.

It was to look like Czechoslovakia.

This is just a few miles from our home.
It is part of an old abandoned distillery.

They did a good job. It looks not longer like Czechoslovakia. Perhaps they also fix the rest.

I'm with Tanya- I love to explore old places. It does look a bit creepy, doesn't it? :)

I thought that the demand for its products would have grown steadily enough to keep it open and expanding! Very nice photos of the place.

I lived in Georgia for a few years and I was always fascinated by how much alcohol was made in the south and how many dry counties there were! These old abandoned building hold so much potential. Thanks Peggy for joining this week and please stop back again.

An interesting place I think the old ivy on the silos helps promote the creepiness, lol.
