This past Saturday evening I had the pleasure of dinner with 2 of my daughters before attending
the 2017 Most Distinguishing Young Woman in
Louisville, Ky. Competition.
Our gdaughter Holly, #1 had a most outstanding performance.
Smart, athletic and poised all of the girls did wonderfully.
Holly by far had the best posture and poise.
Of course we were biased. LOL
She did not win first place but loved every minute of the planning and rehearsals of the last two months.
Making new friends and getting ready for her senior year at a marvelous high school.
Made new friends and expanded her love of public speaking and dramatic presentations.
So proud of her.
The winner was #21 in the pink dress in the middle.
It is so heartwarming to see all these beautiful, smart and talented young girls gathered in one spot to continue to become all that they can be.
That is the aim of the Distinguishing Young Woman competition.
Once named, Junior Miss the name was changed to reflect a more rounded and less "beauty contest" idea.
Makes my heart fill with joy.
