Ky. Fences-Letting the horses run.

Good fences.
Ky. is full of fences, as many states are, but within most of those fences are

HORSES

This is Honeymoon.
A Tennessee Walker, our son's favorite trail riding horse.

He and his friends breed, raise and train Tennessee Walkers.

Our son had a pony named Betsy when we lived in the country years ago.
It hurt us almost as much as it hurt our son not to be able to take Betsy with us.
We moved due to my hubby's work.

Our son was almost too big to ride Betsy any more so he just had to let her go.

He grew up, went to college, got a good job, all with a dream of one day owning enough land to have his own barn and horses.

Honeymoon was his first.
Honeymoom is still his favorite although she does not go on long trail rides any more with them.

I can't keep all the names straight but he rides
Skooter these days, but I don't know which one is which.

My Old Kentucky Home State Park in our hometown.
As I showed last week, the beginning of this fence was laid down by slaves.
It is keep up by the State Park System now.
Thank goodness.

The horses are so pretty and they have nice fences to keep them safe. Really neat looking building and stone wall.
