About ten years ago, as our grandchildren began to reach the age where toys were not appropriate and they were at the between stage.
I began to make every one of our Christmas gifts.
Grand children and our own children.
For three years I wrote books for each of the grands, usually whimsical but age appropriate.
Then I took them to Kinco's had them printed and made into a book.
They loved them.
Did this for 3 years.
Even the parents got a kick out of this.
I made jewelry one year, crocheted items one year, painted boxes and pictures one year.
Now that they are fully grown, I don't spend as much time with them and not able to come up with stories. and of course like most folks these days, they need nothing.
Now we make a large donation to a home for girls that they all selected and even donate to this with us.
I am so proud of them.
Grands and parents getting a kick out of their story books.
You can see some of them on my pages below my header.
The Papaw and Mamaw Stories.
Must have sent a memo around
"Wear Pink" that Christmas.
