Christmas with our loved ones.

What Grand Socials have been going on around the world.
Pray they are all blessed in some way.
Can't help but pray for friends and foes everywhere who must deal with terror.

Our Open House plan went very well.
Family members who don't see each other often got in contact with each other and planned to be here at a set time.

It had it's advantages in that we did not set a certain time for a meal, just had food all day, so folks did not have to stress to be here at a certain time and we were not left wondering, or waiting for what time folks would arrive.

The food I served was easy to keep refreshed as I had made several dishes and just replaced as needed.
It did take a lot of refrigerator space but that problem soon went away.

I know Papaw and I were a lot less stressed and that is a big thing at this time in our lives.

Daughter Beth and our grandson
Ben.

Daughter Julia and our granddaughter Ellen

Our son John and wife Wendy and my only brother Joe.

Our son and his wife are the life of the party and
get a big kick out of gifts that may include an inside joke between themselves and my brother and his wife.

My brother Joe is diabetic and is allowed pizza one time a week.

This shirt conveys
"I'm just here for the pizza!"
Love it

SIL, Linda, always has a bag full of things for tailgating at U of K games, so they got her one for
just her ID, phone, and ticket for the game.
She would not let it out of her sight.
We all loved it.

I can guarantee this conversation was about
U of K and U of L, football.
Daughters Julia and Beth and grandson
Ben.

This one too.

Hubby Tom, grandson Ben and Beth's SO,
Derek.

We all enjoyed Ham and Swiss cheese baked sandwiches, Shrimp cocktail, Country Ham and biscuits, chips, pickles, olives, veggies and dip, homemade candies, Pumpkin pie and Key Line pie.

Love this family picture put on canvas.

Loved my plaid pjs with feminine trim around the collar.

All the bows?

A family tradition
Grands crown Mamaw with various bows from
gifts.

I think the open house ideas sounds wonderful. It looks like you just extended the hours of family fun. I would like to try this one year. Enjoyed your pictures very much.

What a fun Christmas! Your family has some fun ideas! Your brother's new shirt is a perfect example! LOL! Love the flannel jammies and the Flapper style do. And, lastly, what a wonderful family portrait. That must warm the heart. It would mine.
