FSO- Weather Changes

I live in Central Kentucky and we are blessed with 4 definite seasons of the year.

We are in zone 6 for growing and planting guidelines.
Of course those seasons don't always manifest themselves the same every year.

Due to all the rain and finally the warmer weather
my maple trees look like this today.

Jonquils are everywhere.

Not a pretty sight but a definite sign of spring.
Spring cleaning and bulky pick-up in March.

All the creeks and rivers are flowing and filling up lakes for summer fishing.

Our summers are usually 80 to 90 degrees, very seldom reaching 100 degrees. Some days are humid if rain is due.
Flowers love it.

Thunder storms can blow up pretty fast in the summer
And are over just as quick.

I have geraniums everywhere in the summer.

Knockout Roses are everywhere in our town.

Outdoor activities during the summer months under the shade trees.

As a general rule fall is my favorite season of the year.

Mums will last a long time as the weather begins to cool down.
Nothing beats the cool nights for Friday Night football at any of our 4 high schools.

As late summer and fall moves in wind and sleet and thoughts of winter creep in.

Flowers die and thoughts of staying inside are on our minds.

 Light snows and or sleet

The weather calls for a hot cuppa
 Then it really hits.

and again

and again.

The wind plays with the trash cans.

Then the sun shine again.

This was the worst winter in the 15 years we have lived here.

Could not even get our front door open.
Thank goodness we had a garage.
Can't find the date for this.
Probably about 2010

 Last night April 10th 2014

This morning.
It is beautiful, even if a little wind blown.

Fall is also my favorite season. It was really interesting to see your parts of the world through different climate changes.

That was an excellent weather summary in your corner. This was definitely the worst winter I've seen in the twenty years I've been in my home. Thank God, John is a part of my life. Before, I went it alone.

That was a great look at the weather in the different seasons where you live, Peggy. Autumn is my favourite time of year, too. I find spring too changeable. But the sight of Jonquils always lifts my spirits. That is a lovely image!
