Trying to learn Windows 8

I have had a new computer for several weeks.
Tried and tried to learn to use it but get so agitated in trying I have just given up.

A new determination just overtook me this morning.
My old Windows XP is still working but so out of date it is a dinosaur.

Hope this is working.
Guess I will soon find out.

Oh the learning curve is such a challenge as things are changing so fast. Wish I could help, but I have a dinosaur.

Hi Peggy, our old desktop was an XP and finally replaced it with Windows 8 in a new touch screen HP, Envy. Love it. But we have had Windows 7 on our laptop and I have the Samsung tablet and Smart phone so I am accustomed to swiping, etc. It took me a bit of time to get used to Win 8 & the tablet as well as the phone. I asked the computer techies in Best Buy where we purchased ours why folks are complaining about Win 8. Have a dear friend in NC who has cussed it out for months and wants his old PC back. He said they waited too long to upgrade and if they did not get touch smart screen PC's with Win * it would be very difficult for them. So hope you weather your transition
