Grand Social-Christening Day

There have been many days when I feel getting old is the worst thing that can happen to one.
But then, as is always the case, something comes along that makes it all worth while.
One cannot experience be a great grandparent until one lives to old age.

We have not had a baby in the family for 14 years.
The arrival of our first great grandson has been a year full of such joy we would not have had if we had not lived to 75 and 76.

In the name of the Father, Son and Holy Spirit.
Graham Harrison Delk

Father and Mother
Uncle and Aunt, God parents
2 sets of grandparents
2 sets of great grandparents.
Aunts and uncles.
Nieces and nephews.

Precious Graham in his hand made Christening shawl and cap made by this great grandma.

All of the family that had gathered for the Christening was treated to a lovely dinner at one of the finest restaurants in our town.

Having six grandchildren baptized in a setting similar to this one, I can only imagine the extra joy of seeing one's GREAT grandchild welcomed into the family of God! Your group photo in the sanctuary looks so much like our own. And what a beautiful, beautiful child, wrapped in the love of his new shawl and cap! Welcome baby Graham!

Graham is adorable and obviously very much loved. What a blessing to have him join the family. And what a blessing for him to have such an incredible and loving family to join. Love that you shared this special post. Thank you.
