Just have to recognize the beauties of the season.
It is getting colder now and most flowers are gone.
These Hydrangea have been brought inside to a cool place, hung upside down and when I can shake them and they are completely dry, I will spray with a fixative and use for winter bouquets.
Last year's dried Hydrangea used at Christmas time.
Now the winter time pretties are coming on.
Nandina beginning to ripen.
By Christmas time they will look like this.
Perfect for Christmas decorating.
Happy 18th birthday grandson Ben.

Nandina does it nice at Christmas. Enjoying your posts. I have not had the fuzzy things fall from my oak trees but they do have the galls and I know those little wasp are here. Was a great mystery. I have added a hen cam to my blog list, take a look. Of course I like the chickens and goats but the bunny is my favorite.
Wow! They really trounced them, didn't they?!
So that's Nandina...I have wondered what some berries were since last summer and now I know...off to label them in my picture file so I'll remember. Thanks!
These are both so pretty. I have some slowing dying hydrangea blooms in my new garden - so I will try cutting them and doing this. And the berries are beautiful - how nice that they go from a beige color to that brilliant red. Stopping in today from Lisa's Grand Social.
Your dried hydrangea is beautiful - I've never tried doing that. Even here in sunny southern California my hydrangea is looking very sad... Thanks for sharing yours!
Living in Florida I don't have the same foliage/flowers you do so I enjoy visiting from the Grand Social and seeing the beauties from the other states. Thanks for sharing.
