Photo Challenge for August-theme -summer and Say it Saturday.

Yes summer is coming to an end.
Been a rainy and humid one.
Activities still go on no matter what the weather.

Here are my 5 photos for Monthly Blogging Photo Challenge.

Summer time......

........the corn is as high as an elephant's eye. Can even see it reflected in the fishing lake.

 Visiting a friend's master garden......
...........the hot house where plants stay moist and warm and new rootings will happen in the cold of winter.

Where the late evening fun happens....

.....good friends and a chilled glass of wine so she can make her bottle trees.

Just one of about.......

.......six trees. Gotta drink a lot of chilled wine in the summer garden to make wine bottle trees.

Fresh veggies.....

.......from our son's garden.

Just had to add one more shot of my Knock-out Roses about to hit the dust.
These have become the most popular flower in our town as every home and every business establishment have them in their landscape.
They are beauties.

And that about sums it up here as well. I enjoyed seeing your friend's garden and her bottle trees again. And I love my knockout roses, too, though they don't look as vigorous as yours do.

I think the ultimate in luxury is a greenhouse, where fresh, happy foliage blooms year around! I'd have mine full of herbs and lettuces!
Lovely assortment of pictures that depict this time of year - kind of sad that summer is nearly gone, but looking forward to less heat and the rich colors of the harvest!

Great summer photos! The corn field reminds me of my childhood in Iowa.

The photo of the hot house is really cool. And I've always been a fan of bottle trees. They look so cool. Nice job this month!

What an interesting mix of photos, including two new-to-me things - bottle trees and Knock-out roses. I've never seen a bottle tree in this part of the world. And I'm off to read about Knock-out roses to see if they'd make through the winter here. And I think I'd better check to see if the regional farmers still have their fresh corn trucks in the shopping centre parking lot - a mini corn feed might be just the thing to extend the feeling of summer this wet and soggy weekend.
