Friday Shoot Out-theme- Through the Fence

Fences are part of the landscape everywhere I go since I live in a rural area.
Yes there are fences in the city, but we are surrounded by them.

 A trellis for the flowers

To keep Honeymoon and Hopper in the field and out of the yard.

In a cemetery? To keep  out or to keep in?
Folks are just dying to get in, they say.

Fences can make one wonder what is behind them

Rock fence around the Old Farm Place constructed by slaves.

This property has been in my family since 1798.
My 3rd great grandparents bought it soon after coming to Ky. from Maryland.

There were once slave quarters to be seen through this fence behind the house but thank goodness, they are a thing of the past.

A natural privacy fence of Burning Bushes.
Yes it needs a trim.

Through our neighbor's fence.

Dear Peggy, I love the post.
Fences have always been around
my houses. They say it makes a good neighbor. I have a thing for Rock walls. After Ireland and my Grand Mothers cottage I know why Renee
loves rock wall's, when she rides loves to jump.

Have a great weekend.

I am a sucker for stone fences. Horses, too.

I love the first two board fences, Peggy. Quite similiar but totally different purposes. Glad I'm not spotlighting this week, how about you?

I like the flowers growing in and out of the fence in the first picture... But I also really last one with the horses, the fact that one is white and the other dark and that they are turned away from each other gives the composition a certain... not-sure-what, but something!

Absolutely love the rock fence the best. Got to see quite a few with my own eyes while we lived in KY - years ago now!
