Photo challenge 2nd Saturday theme-flowers and Say It Saturday

Second Saturday of the Month
theme
flowers

The last breath of  one of my Calla Lily blooms that I got for Easter.

I am not sure how I got this photo, as far as camera settings are concerned.
I know I did have auto off and setting for macro on.
I do know how I used PicMonkey to highlight the shading and highlighting so as to set up a pattern for painting this on canvas.

Same for this new baby bloom.
Love the texture in the body of the bloom.

Roses dried from our anniversary in April
I concentrated on the various colors for a painting.

Of course I had these hanging but held them upright for the photo.

Please go here for more examples of working with your camera and photo enhancing.

Interesting! All the flowers seem to be past their prime. But that's capturing a different perspective.

I like photographing flowers that are in decline. They have a beauty all their own and the colors that show up are rich. I also like the new blossom...it shows such forward movement. (Jill shared with me that a full review of any shot is available on Picasa Web Albums. Just Google to see if your shot is there and click on the full review on the left. It was amazing to me!)

Wonderful pictures! I thought my calla lilies were done for the season and all of a sudden in the last few days I got half a dozen new blooms. Thanks for sharing!
