A sad, sad day for our community

It is indeed a sad day for our community.
Jason Ellis, a young man serving on our local Police Force as a canine officer was shot and killed at 3 AM on his way home from work.
He was found when someone stopped and called the police from his cruiser.

He had been on the force since 2006.
Thank you Jason and our condolences to your family.
His wife and 2 children survive.

No witnesses, no clues yet.
Evil will not survive they will find his killer.

This is happening all over our county more and more.
I pray for his family and for our nation.

It does seem as if evil is having a heyday. Our community was in the news yesterday. My thoughts go out to your area as this effects so many people...all of you really as one can easily begin to lose a sense of security.

My thoughts go out to your community and deepest sympathy to his family. We are all safer because our police put their lives on the line every day.

My heart aches for all of these tragedies that have come upon America in the last year. I will keep Jason's family in my thoughts. We need to get back to a sense of morality--I know now everyone believes this but it truly is the answer.

How sad. It is happening in many countries, all of a sudden, In France, in England, just this week, two people were killed for no reason except that they were serving soldiers.

I am so sorry about this tragedy. Our community has had two recent incidents - I knew the wife of one of the young officers. I wish I could say or do something that would help ease the pain, but of course there are no words.

It really is scary out there. It almost makes you want to stop watching the news as it is so depressing! I am sorry for your loss and a special thank you to all of the police officers that take care of all of us everyday.
