My man did not win last night.
I had been a registered Democrat all my life, still am,
but
"My dear, this is not your grandfather's Democratic Party any more."
For several years I have seen our country go down a less moral and less value centered road.
What do I know?
Only what I see and read and I see and read a lot.
I was educated early in life during the surge of communist and socialism in the 50's all over the world.
I am an old lady now.
Things that were predicted I see coming to pass.
As one of my children told me she was not educated in that vein.
Maybe I am wrong.
Maybe this country needs to live through the loss of freedoms so long taken for granted before we see the light.
I respect the office of
President of the United States.
I will wish him well.
I am thankful that my God knows more than I do.
Things are in His hands.
God bless the President and the United States.
We will move on.
I take joy in my first cup of coffee this morning and the presence of my dear and loving husband at my side.

Well said, QMM, well said.
(It's nice to take comfort in the dependable things, isn't it?)

I am on the other side of the fence, but I commend you for posting your thoughts in a mild-mannered and inoffensive way. Good on ya.
That's the spirit Peggy!
Dear Peggy, Heartfelt post.
Love you,
