One-word Wednesday
Captivated
At our recent family fish fry, my brother, the host, and our son stopped to bless the food before we begin to eat.
These two men, uncle and nephew, love each other and enjoy each other so much that I was captivated by this photo when I saw it on my computer.
I just shoot photos all day and get everything going on on film.
My brother began by saying
"Our Father whom art in heaven......." and every one there joined in
"...hallowed be thy name."
My brother said,
".....thank you for this day and this great group of folks and all the food they brought."
Everyone broke out in a fit of laughter and John got the biggest kick and laughed for several minutes.
My brother Joe is so traditional in his habits that no one expected this spontaneous prayer.
This photo was taken as my brother was saying the blessing and I was captivated by the attention, even the young folks gave, as he prayed.
I am so sentimental, they call me
The Memory Keeper.
This Kodak moment, and I do use a Kodak, is why I love photography.
Pop over to Grandma's Briefs and see what
captivates
her.
