Today is one of
THOSE
days.
You know the kind.
One that you remember exactly what you were doing when it happened.
9/11/2001
I awakened and readied myself for my job as an Intake Nurse for our home health agency.
I never turn the TV on while getting ready for work.
When I arrived at my work station at 8:30 in the morning I went to the break room to get a cup of coffee.
I noticed with surprise no one was at their desks or any other place I usually saw them.
I could hear chatter in the conference room and could hear the background of the TV news station.
Like a moth drawn to a flame I stepped into the room and immediately looked at the TV.
I could not believe what I saw.
No need to describe what I saw, you all know.
We all stood awestruck as the live action continued to be streamed across the TV.
We saw the second plane hit with disbelief in our eyes and in our hearts and souls.
Our country was never the same again.
God Bless America.
It is Tuesday.
We do not love what happened.
We love our country and all those who died, worked and prayed during this terrible ordeal.
Love and forgive, but never
forget.
Please forgive me for posting a sad note on this party link but I love Kathe with an E and no better place to share love of country and freedom.
Go here to see what others are thinking of today.
