Gratefulness after a storm.

Friday night we had a bad wind storm.

We did not know how bad until the following morning.

The first think I saw.

Not unusual.
This bench is blown over any time the wind blows.

No big deal

HH went around the house to check and

This is a big deal.

A very large Aristocrat Pear, standing for 13 years.

This is what I saw from the deck after he called me out to look.
Thank good it missed the swing frame.

This is what we saw as we walked around and away from the house.

The entire height of one side of the tree just missed our house and the weeping cherry on the side.
If the tree had fallen on our house it would have fallen on our garage missing any bedrooms.
That in itself is a blessing.

Below the pear tree is a hedge of burning bushes.
which I feel allowed the branch to miss the house.

The wounded tree up close.

Well clean up time for sure.

Gratitude time also.

Psalm 100

 Shout for joy to the Lord, all the earth.   Worship the Lord with gladness;
    come before him with joyful songs. Know that the Lord is God.
    It is he who made us, and we are his
    we are his people, the sheep of his pasture.
Enter his gates with thanksgiving
    and his courts with praise;
    give thanks to him and praise his name. For the Lord is good and his love endures forever;
    his faithfulness continues through all generations.

 Praise be to God.

I am happy for you nothing serious happened! Is there anything you can do to save this tree?

Wow! That is a big tree to be taken down by the wind. Glad it didn't cause any damage. Take care, Tammy

Oh that was a nasty storm destroying such a pretty tree. Joining you in thanking God for His protection all around. We got remnants of some sort of storm last night. I've been picking up branches and twigs this afternoon, but nothing major.

Oh Peggy, I am so sorry. The good thing is you are safe. I had an 8 yr old pear Tree and had it's first fruit- GOT FIRE BLIGHT.
I had to remove it., besides the
attack of snails and Jap beetles. What a crazy Summer.

Oh, wow, that was some storm. We've been hearing about it. Glad to know that all is fixable, if not replaceable, and that nobody was hurt!
